Individual components and assemblies made of refractory metals such as titanium, niobium, molybdenum and tantalum are part of our product range alongside castings. Products made of titanium or pure niobium are used especially in areas subject to high chemical loads.
Titanium has a high corrosion resistance, as the material forms an oxide layer that effectively protects against incipient corrosion, for example against chemicals. The properties can be further improved by adding alloys such as palladium.
Typical products are anode segments for pickling systems. For liquid-carrying products such as nozzle plates or nozzle tubes, 99.9% pure niobium is used.
